Installing and removing an M.2 module
(dependent on configuration)
Your LIF E BO O K is equipped with a service compartment for an M .2 module. The LIFEBO OK E55 9
can be ordered either with an M.2 module or with a standard hard disk (HDD). For systems with
HDD, an M.2 adapter is available as an accessory, in order to retrofit an M.2 module instead of
the HDD, if necessary. For more information on how to install a hard disk, see "
Installing and
removing the hard disk (only for L IFEBOOK E559 w ith HDD configuratio n level)", Page 71.
It is not possible to install a standard hard disk in systems that
were orde red with an M.2 module.
The LIFEBOOK E549 is illustrated below. T he approach is the same for all
variants. Corresponding reference is made to any differences.
