Conguring WLAN access
Requirement: WLAN is available an d you have th e necessary access data to hand .
Informationonconguring WLAN access can be found in the
documenation for your operating system.
Access via UMTS
If you ordered an integrated UMTS module with your system, yo u can enjoy optimum
reception and maximum energy e fciency without awkward cables or antennas. The
optional UMTS module is ready for use straight away.
If you did not order a UMTS module, yo u can pur chase the accessories required to receive
UMTS signals from yo ur Fujitsu Technology Solutions dealer or other specialist dealer.
You will nd information on establishing the c onnection with the UMTS netw ork in
the documentation for the hardware you plan to use.
Your device can connect with the Internet via UMTS. To do th is, use one of
the following types of connection:
Integrated UMTS module (availability dependent on model variant)
USB dongle (a USB stick containing a SIM card from your mobile phone provider)
UMTS ExpressCard (ts into the ExpressCard slot on your device)
A mobile end-device (e .g. mo bile p hone w ith Bluetooth or cable connection)
Ethernet and LAN
EthernetLAN
The internal network module of your notebook supports Ethernet LAN. You can use it to
establish a connection to a local network (LAN = Local Area Network).
