Status displays Description
Power-on indicator
• Indicator is illuminated: The notebook is switche d on.
• Indicator flashes: The notebook is in sleep mode (Save-to-RAM).
• The indicator is not illuminated: The notebook is switched off or in
Save-to-Disk m ode.
Battery charging indicator

The state of charge of the b
attery is shown by the battery indicator.
With mains adapter connec
ted:
• The indicator lights up w
hite: The battery is fully charged.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is being charged.
• The indicator flashes or
ange: The mains adapte r is connected but
the battery cannot be c
harged as the battery is too hot or too cold for
charging. T he chargin
g process is continued as soon as the battery has
reached a permissibl
e temperature again.
• The indicator is not lit: T he battery is not being charged (th e battery is
already more than 90% charged or the mains adap ter is not connected).
Battery indicator
The battery indicator shows the state of charge of the installed batteries.
• The indicator lights up white: The battery is between 51% and 100%
charged.
• The indicator i
s lit orange: The bat tery is between 13 % and 50 %
charged.
• The indicator is lit red: The battery is betw een 0 % and 12 % charge d.
• The indicator
flashes orange: The battery state of charge is being
checked ( for f
our secon ds after battery installation).
• The indicator flashes red: The ba ttery is faulty.
• The indicato
r is not lit: There i s no battery installed.

(Fn: function key)
has been pressed. The special functions of the Fn (function) keys (see
section "
Key combinations", Page 42 ) can be executed by pressing the keys
directly, without having to press the
Fn
key.
Num Lock indicator
Indicator is lit: The
Num
key has been pressed. The virtual numerical
keypad is activated. You can output the characters indicated on the upper
right of the keys.
