Indicator Description
Power-on indicator / Standby

• Indicator is illuminated: The notebook is switched on.
•Theindicatorflashes: The notebook is in sleep mode (Save-to-RAM).
• The indicator is not lit: The notebook is switched off or the notebook is in
Save-to-Disk mode.
Microphone

• The indicator is lit: The m icrophone is switched off.
• The indicator does not light up: The microphone is switched on.
To activate the funct ion, you may have to set Mic Mute Utility to Enabled in the
Task Manager at Autostart.

F Lock indicator

Num Lock indicator

key has been pressed. The virtual numerical
keypad is activated. You can output the characters indicated on the upper right of
the keys.
Caps L ock indicator

Indicator is illuminated: The Caps Lock key h as been pressed. All the characters
you type will appear in upper case. In the case of overlay keys, the character
printed on the upper left of the key will appear when that key is pressed.
Scroll Lock indicator

effect that this key has varies between applications.
Battery status indicator/mains connection
The state of charg e of th e battery is shown by the battery indicator.
With mains adapter connected:
• The indicator lights up orange: the mains adapter is connected and t he battery
is being charged.
• The indi
cator lights up red: The mains adapter is not connected and the battery
power is
below 20%.
• Indicator flashes orange: the mains adapte r is connected but the battery cannot
be charged as the battery is too hot or cold for charging. The charging process
is continued as soon as the battery reaches a permissible temperature again.
• Indic
ator flashes red: An error has occured.
• Indicator not lit: The battery is not being charged (the battery is already more
than 90% charged or the mains adapter is not connected and the batte ry
power is above 20%).
