Executing a reset
If the device no longer responds to your inputs, select one of the following options:
Forced shut down
Keep the ON/OFF button pressed for at least about 5-10 seconds.
The device will shut down. You can then restart it.
Carry out a system or ba tt
ery reset
The off b u tton for the battery ("Ports and controls", Page 9) is located on the underside of the device.
If the device doe s not re spond, you may ha ve to force the shutdown,
as described in the previous section.
Disconnect the mains adapter from the device.
Use a pointed tool with caution to press the off button for the battery.
The device performs a reset, comparable to removing the battery. You can then restart it.
Help if problems occur
Should you e ncou nter a problem with your compu ter that you cannot resolve yourself:
Note the ID number of your device. The ID n umber is found on the type rating
plate on the back or underside of the casing.
