Starting up
5.3 Setting up the floorstand model
I If you are not installing a PRIMERGY TX1330 M4 floorstand model, skip
this section and continue reading at section "Installing the server in the
rack" on page 64.
V CAUTION!
Note the safety instructions in chapter "Important information" on
page 43.
Ê Transport the server to the place where you want to set it up.
Ê Unpack the server (see section"Unpacking the server" on page 60).
Ê Set up the server.
V CAUTION!
– The device must be protected from direct sunlight.
– The required minimum distances for operation and maintenance
areas must be adhered to.
– The server must be accessible at the rear for connection to other
devices (e.g. memory subsystem).
– The mains plug must be accessible easily and safely.
– There must be a clearance of at least 200 mm in front of and
behind the server to ensure adequate ventilation of the
subsystem.
Ê If applicable, install the anti-tilt bracket, see section "Installing the anti-tilt
bracket" on page 62.
Ê Connect the devices to the server, see section "Connecting devices to the
server" on page 69 and section "Notes on connecting/disconnecting cables"
on page 68.
Ê Connect the server to the mains, see section"Connecting the power cord" on
page 70.
