The G-MEGA is a Bluetooth wireless speaker designed for portable audio enjoyment with enhanced features for durability and sound quality. It offers wireless connectivity, water resistance, and stereo sound capabilities, making it suitable for various environments and uses.

Function Description

The primary function of the G-MEGA is to provide high-quality audio playback wirelessly via Bluetooth. Users can stream music and other audio content from their Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other A2DP compatible devices. The speaker is designed to deliver a robust sound experience, featuring a powerful output and multiple equalizer presets to tailor the audio to personal preferences.

Beyond wireless streaming, the G-MEGA also supports wired audio input through its LINE-IN jack. This allows users to connect non-Bluetooth audio sources, including MP3 players, mobile phones, and other digital media players, using a standard 3.5mm audio cable. This versatility ensures that a wide range of devices can be connected for playback.

A unique feature of the G-MEGA is its Dual Speaker Stereo (DSS) mode. This allows two G-MEGA speakers to be connected wirelessly to create a stereo sound system. When in DSS mode, the two speakers work in tandem to provide a more immersive audio experience with expanded stereo separation and increased power. This is particularly useful for larger spaces or for users who desire a more dynamic soundstage.

The G-MEGA also includes a USB charging port, which serves as a convenient power source for charging other portable devices like iPhones, iPods, and Android phones. This feature adds practicality, allowing the speaker to double as a portable power bank for compatible USB devices.

Usage Features

The G-MEGA is designed for ease of use with intuitive controls and indicators.

• Power On/Off: The speaker is turned on and off using a dedicated power button.
• Bluetooth Pairing: To initiate Bluetooth pairing, users press the Bluetooth PAIR button. A blue LED indicator and the LED lighting logo will flash, signaling that the speaker is in pairing mode. Once connected, these indicators will become solid. The speaker can be disconnected from a current Bluetooth device by pressing and holding the Bluetooth PAIR button for 3 seconds, returning it to pairing mode. If a password is required during pairing, "0000" should be entered. The speaker also supports automatic reconnection to previously paired devices when powered on and within range.
• Volume Control: Volume adjustment is straightforward, with dedicated VOLUME + and VOLUME - buttons. The LED lighting logo flashes once to confirm a volume change.
• Equalizer (EQ) Presets: The G-MEGA offers three distinct EQ presets to optimize sound for different types of audio:
  • EQ1 (Dynamic): Provides full bass and crisp high frequencies, suitable for a balanced sound.
  • EQ2 (Deep): Emphasizes bass and low-mids, ideal for genres that benefit from a heavier bottom end.
  • EQ3 (Bright): Highlights mids, vocals, and high frequencies, enhancing clarity for vocal-centric music or podcasts. Users can cycle through these presets by repeatedly pressing the EQ button. The LED lighting logo will flash 1, 2, or 3 times to indicate the selected preset (EQ1, EQ2, or EQ3, respectively).
• LINE-IN Playback: To use a wired audio source, users connect a 3.5mm audio cable to the LINE-IN jack on the rear of the speaker and press the LINE-IN button. A green LINE-IN LED indicator will illuminate, and audio from the connected device will play through the G-MEGA.
• LINE-IN Mix Mode: This advanced feature allows simultaneous playback from a connected Bluetooth device and a LINE-IN source. To activate, users first pair a Bluetooth device, then connect a LINE-IN source, and finally press and hold the LINE-IN button. Both the blue Bluetooth LED indicator and the green LINE-IN LED indicator will light up, confirming that mix mode is active. This mode is particularly useful for musicians or for mixing background music with a microphone (if connected via LINE-IN). To exit mix mode, press and hold the LINE-IN button again.
• LED Logo Lighting Effects: The G-MEGA features a multi-color LED lighting logo that can be customized. By repeatedly pressing the LIGHT button, users can select from several lighting modes: L01 (Multi-color), L02 (White), L03 (Blue), L04 (Green), L05 (Red), or turn the lighting off. The default setting is L01 (Multi-color).
• DSS (Dual Speaker Stereo) Operation: To set up DSS, two G-MEGA speakers are required. Both speakers are powered on and switched to Bluetooth mode. A Bluetooth device is then paired and connected to one G-MEGA (designated as the master). The DSS button on the master speaker is pressed to enter DSS mode, causing its DSS LED indicator and LED lighting logo to flash amber. The DSS button on the second G-MEGA is then pressed, and its indicators will also flash amber. Once connected, both speakers' amber DSS LED indicators and LED lighting logos will become solid. Volume levels are synchronized between the two speakers in DSS mode, though EQ settings can be adjusted individually. DSS can be disconnected by pressing the Bluetooth PAIR button on either speaker. If connection issues arise, pressing and holding the DSS button on both speakers for 3 seconds resets their memory, allowing for a fresh connection attempt. It's important to note that DSS only works with Bluetooth audio sources, not LINE-IN or LINE-IN Mix Mode.

Maintenance Features

The G-MEGA is designed with a built-in rechargeable battery, which is internal and cannot be replaced by the user.

• Recharging the Battery: The speaker is recharged by connecting the supplied AC adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit and plugging the other end into a standard wall outlet. A red LED Charging indicator will illuminate during the charging process and turn off once the battery is fully charged.
• Low Battery Indication: When the G-MEGA's battery is low, the red LED Charging indicator will begin flashing to warn the user that recharging is needed.
• Battery Care: To ensure optimal battery life, it is recommended to charge the rechargeable battery at least biannually. Actual battery life can vary based on usage, settings, and environmental conditions, as rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles.
• Power Adapter Usage: Only the supplied AC adapter (DC 20V 2.5A) should be used for charging. It is advised to disconnect both ends of the AC adapter when not in use.
• Reset Function: A reset button is available, which can be useful for troubleshooting unexpected behavior or connectivity issues.
