3.4.2 Emergency power-off
An external Emergency Power-Off (EPO) switch can be installed by the customer to enable immediate
shutdown of the UPS’s output. After being shut down by the EPO function the Power+ Premium 60 must
be restarted as described below.
The UPS has two terminals marked "EPO" for connection of an EPO switch (see Figure 19). Use of a large
mushroom-type N.O. (normally open) pushbutton rated for not less than 1 A / 24 Vdc is recommended.
Verify continuity of the switch at its connection points before installing.
3.4.2.1 RESTARTING THE UPS FOLLOWING USE OF EPO
To restart the UPS following use of the EPO:
1. Verify that the emergency situation has been eliminated.
2. Turn off all input circuit breakers (rectifier ac input, bypass ac input, battery);
3. Turn the circuit breakers back on.
4. Start the Power+ Premium 60 as normal
(Main Menu > Operation > Turn On/Off > System On).
