To clean the bar rails:
1) Remove chain cover and bar and chain.
2) Using a wire brush, screwdriver or similar tool,
clear the residue from the inner groove of the bar.
3) Make sure to clean oil passages thoroughly.
Lubricating the pole hedge trimmer
blade
For easier operation and longer life, lubricate the
cutting blades before and after each use. Before
lubricating, make sure you have removed the battery
packs from the pole hedge trimmer. Apply the oil so
that it runs between the two blades. (Fig. R)
Your trimmer should be stopped and oiled
occasionally during use.
Replacing the edger blade
WARNING. Wear heavy-duty gloves when
performing any maintenance or service to
this device.
Replace the edger blade (21) when cutters are too
worn to edge. Only use replacement edger blade
noted in this manual.
1) Place the device on a solid, level surface.
2) Insert the hex key (44) through the hole under
the edger blade (21) to x the spindle in position
securely. Then remove the edger blade cover lock
nut (51) with a wrench (17mm) (not provided) by
turning it clockwise. (Fig. S1)
3) Remove the edger blade cover (50) , inner ange
(e) and the old edger blade (21) from the spindle.

4) Fit the new edger blade into the spindle, then
place the inner ange

with the recess on top of
