What to do if GE DC Drives motor is not running?
- TTommy MackSep 3, 2025
If the motor isn't running, first check the service switch and motor connection. Connect the motor and check the service switch. If you have a 24 V DC option card, ensure line power is applied to run the unit. If the keypad stop is active, press [Auto] or [Hand] to start the motor, depending on the operation mode. Also, check for a missing start signal and apply a valid start signal. Ensure the motor coast signal is not active by applying 24 V on the terminal or programming the terminal to No operation. Finally, verify the correct reference signal source by programming the correct settings, checking F-02 Operation Method, setting the preset reference active in parameter C-05 Multi-step Frequency 1 - 8, checking for correct wiring, scaling of terminals, and the reference signal itself.
