Usingthe self-cleaning upper and lower ovens.
The oven door must be closed and all controls set correctly for the cycle to work properly.

The surface burners must
beturened off prior to the
self-clean start time
Both ovens cannot be self-
cleaned at the same time.
Cooktop burners and the oven
not in self-clean mode will not
start during self-clean cycle.
How to Set the Lower Oven for Cleaning
[] Touch the Self Clean pad.
r_ using the number pads,enter the desired
clean time, if a time other than 4 hours is
needed.
Cleancycle time is normally 4 hours.You can
change the clean time to any time between
3 hours and Shours, depending on how dirty
your oven is.
[-_ Touch the Start pad.
Doorswill lock automatically. The display will
show the clean time remaining. If the upper
door is not locked and remaining clean time
is not displayed, within 1 minute of initiating
the cycle rotate the knob to the Off positioin
and open both doors for 10 minutes. Repeat
step 1. It will not be possibleto open the oven
door untilthe temperature drops below the
locktemperature and the LOCKEDDOORlight
goes off.
Theoven shuts off automatically when the
clean cycle iscomplete.
r_ When the LOCKEDDOORlight isoff, the
door will unlock automatically.
[] Rotate knobto the off position
Thewords LOCKDOORwill flash and the
oven control will signal if you set the clean
cycle and forget to closethe oven door.
Tostop a clean cycle,touch the Clear/Off
pad then turn the oven control knob to the
OFFposition. After some period of time,the
LOCKEDDOOR light will go off.Thiswill
indicate that the oven has cooled below
the locking temperature and gas isable to
flow to the cooktop. The doors will unlock
automatically..
After you complete the first oven clean cycle
you can start the second oven clean cycle.

How to Delay the Start of Cleaning (lower oven only)
Hake sure the clock shows the correct time
of day.
[71 Touchthe Self Clean pad.
NOTE:Thesurface burners will be turned off
automatically when self-cleancycle starts.
[] Usingthe number pads, enter the desired
clean time.
[] Touchthe Delay Start pad. The earliest
start time you can set will appear in the
display.
[] Usingthe number pads, enter the time of
dayyou want the clean cycleto start.
Touchthe Start pad.
Doorswill lock automatically. The display will
show the start time. Itwill not be possibleto
open the oven door until the temperature drops
below the lock temperature and the LOCKED
DOOR light goesoff.
Theoven shuts off automatically when the
clean cycle iscomplete.
r_ Thedoors will unlock automatically.

After a Clean Cycle
You may notice some white ash in the oven.
Wipe it up with a damp cloth after the oven
cools.
Ifwhite spots remain, remove them with a
soap-filled scouring pad and rinsethoroughly
with a vinegar and water mixture.
Thesedeposits are usually a salt residue that
cannot be removed by the clean cycle.
Ifthe oven is not clean after one clean cycle,
repeatthe cycle.
Youcannot set the oven for cooking until the
oven iscool enough for the door to unlock.
While the oven isself-cleaning, you can
touch the Clock pad to display the time of
day. Toreturn to the clean countdown, touch
the Cooking Time pad.
If the racksbecome hard to slide,applya
small amount of vegetable oilor cooking oil to
a paper towel and wipe the edgesof the oven
rackswith the paper towel.
