Oven Air Vents
Never block the vents (air openings)of the
range.They provide the air inlet and outlet that
are necessaryfor the range to operate properly
with correct combustion.
Air openings are located at the rear of the
cooktop, at the top and bottom of the oven
door,and at the bottom of the range.
Vent appearance and location vary.
Upper Control Panel
On models so equipped, lock out the touch pads
before cleaning.
See the Gas/Control Lockout information in
the Special features of your oven control section
in this manual.
Cleanup splatters with a damp cloth.
Youmay also use a glass cleaner.
Removeheavier soilwith warm soapy water.
Do not useabrasives of any kind.
Unlockthe touch pads after cleaning.

Lower Control Panel (Front Manifold Panel) and Knobs
It's a good idea to wipe the control panel after
each useof the oven. Usea damp cloth to
clean or rinse. Forcleaning, usemild soap and
water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water.
Forrinsing, useclean water. Polishdry with a
soft cloth.
Do not useabrasive cleansers,strong liquid
cleaners,plasticscouring pads or oven cleaners
on the control panel-they will damage the
finish.
Do nottry to bend knobs by pulling them up
or down or by hanging a towel or other such
loads.Thiscan damage the gas valve shaft.
Thecontrol knobs may be removed for easier
cleaning.
Hake surethe knobs are in the OFFpositions
and pull them straight off the stems for
cleaning.
Replacethe knobs in the OFF position to ensure
proper placement.
Hetal parts can be cleaned with soap and
water. Do not use steelwool, abrasives,
ammonia, acids or commercial oven cleaners.
Dry with a soft cloth.
To determine the correct location of the knob
on the front control panel,examine the back
of the knob. Knobswith labelsand two stem
holesare not interchangeable with other
types of knobs and should be returned to the
front panel first. Locate the proper position
by matching the label and the front panel
description or by matching the shape of the
knob holesto the shape of the control panel
stems. Knobswithout labels and only one stem
hole can be returned to any position on the
front control panel that has only one stem.
The knobs can be cleaned in a dishwasher or
they may alsobe washed with soap and water.
Hake surethe insidesof the knobs are dry
before replacing.
