1. E-CELL STACK™ GLOSSARY
CONCENTRATE BLEED A small portion of the Concentrate flow, which is sent to
drain.
CONCENTRATE MAKE UP The Concentrate make up is the additional water added
to the Concentrate loop to make up the volume sent to
drain via the Electrode outlet and the Concentrate bleed.
CONCENTRATE LOOP The Concentrate loop is from the Concentrate Pump to
the E-Cell Stack™, and back to the pump.
CONCENTRATE RECYCLE A portion of the Concentrate flow is recycled through the
Stacks in order to maintain the required conductivity in
the Concentrate loop.
DILUTE FEED Flow through the E-Cell Stacks™ that will become
Product water.
E-CALC An E-Calc spreadsheet (available from GEWPT) calculates
all E-Cell EDI process parameters based on feed water
analysis and selected operating conditions.
ELECTRODE STREAM A small portion of recycled Concentrate flowing through
the Electrode compartment of each E-Cell Stack
of the
E-Cell System
, which will be sent directly to drain after
exiting the System.
GEWPT GE Water and Process Technology.
PRODUCT The deionized water which is produced by the E-Cell
System™.
RECTIFIER DC power supply.
