INSTALLATION
REV6 /REV5 OI 248 (EN) 37
6.9 Aligning and Connecting the Pole Columns
The pole column shafts are connected to the levers via a square
profile. The levers can therefore only be mounted in four positions.
No additional positioning aids are required.
The tolerance allows for a slight clearance between the levers and
the shafts.
When installation and commissioning are carried out at the manu-
facturer's plant, the clearance is reduced by turning the levers in
the closing direction during the connection process until the levers
are in contact with the shafts.
In order to reproduce the routine test values measured at the facto-
ry as accurately as possible when commissioning the circuit
breaker, we recommend that the clearance be reduced in the same
way during installation.
6.10 Aligning and Connecting Pole Column B
Check the serial number of the drive rod (see sticker on rod).
Check to make sure the serial number agrees with the breaker
serial number.
The drive rod has already been set to the correct length and the
setting marked with lead sealing paint. This setting must not be
changed during installation.
The drive lever has been mounted on the operating mechanism at
the factory.
Any change in the setting of the drive rod from the manufactu-
rer's marking may cause the circuit breaker to malfunction.
Therefore:
- Do not change the rod length.
- Never use a drive rod with a different breaker serial
number.
