Appendix D: Setting your PC IP Address

Setting an IP
Address in
Windows
2000
Step Action
1 In the Windows 2000 Start menu, click Settings.
2 Click Network and Dial-up Connections.
3 Double-click Local Area Connections.
4 Click Properties.
5 Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
6 Click Properties.
7 Select Use the following IP address,
8 Enter an IP address that is in the same subnet as the iBox, but not used by
any other devices. Enter the same subnet mask as the iBox.
9 Click OK.
10 Click OK in the Local Area Connections window.
11 Close Local Area Connection Status.
12 Close Network and Dial-up Connections.
