2.5.2.7 Interfaces for production tests
Debug Port
The debug port is an interface for developing purposes. With the corresponding tools, the
MPC821 can be set to the debug mode, to show internal states.
Connector denotation: BDM/
Type: male connector, 2x 5- pin, 180 °
JTAG Port
The JTAG is an interface for the production test of the processor core and the memory. in
addition, the Flash memories can be programmed with this interface.
Connector denotation: JTAG/
Type: male connecior, 2x 5-pin, 180 °, pin 7: coding pin
The function of the individual pins is given in the following table. The definition as an
input/output is seen with reference to PCB Control CS CI.
