Expansion and deflation of airbags
are completed within a very short
period of time so that airbags will not have
protective effects on second follow-up
collision.
Do not press or pound the driver's
airbag cover plate vigorously to avoid
triggering the deployment of the driver's
airbag and causing personal injury.
Do not place objects or pets in front of the
instrument panel or glove box and on the
steering wheel equipped with an airbag.
They will hinder the deployment of the
airbag or cause serious casualties due to
the large injection force when the airbag is
deployed. Do not add or modify,
disassemble, knock or open any front airbag
component or circuit, otherwise the airbag
may suddenly inflate or the system cannot
be used, causing serious personal injury or
death.
During the use of the vehicle, do not
sit on the side of the seat or lean
against the instrument panel, because any
person standing against or very close to the
airbag may be seriously injured or killed
when the airbag inflates. The occupants
must keep at least 25 cm away from the
airbags.
When the following conditions occur,
contact the Geely Service
immediately:
• After the front airbag is deployed.
• The front part of the vehicle was hit, but it
did not cause the front airbags to deploy.
• The front airbag cover is cracked,
scratched or damaged in other forms.
Side airbag*
The side airbag provides further protection
for the driver and front occupant, based on
the safety protection provided by seat belts.
In case of a moderate or severe side impact,
the side airbag can reduce personal injury
by inflating and working with the seat belts
simultaneously.
Side airbags can mainly reduce chest
injuries for driver or front occupant.
Side airbags are mounted in the backrests
of the driver seat and front occupant seat,
where they are marked with "AIRBAG".
Due to the considerable speed and
strength of the side airbag when it is
deployed, it is prohibited to put your head
and hands outside the window or close to
the deployed area of the side airbag when
the vehicle is driving, otherwise serious
casualties may occur to occupants.
It is forbidden to install seat cover on
the seats equipped with side airbags.
Otherwise, it may affect the deployment of
the side airbag.
