Safety instructions
I If disassembly of safeguards is required when setting up, maintaining and repairing, check for
correct assembly and functioning of the safeguards immediately after completion of the work!
I Ensure safe and environmentally sound disposal of fuels and auxiliary substances and replace-
ment parts!
1.1.4. Changes to the power generator
I Only specialists authorised by Metallwarenfabrik Gemmingen are permitted to make any chan-
ges on the power generator!
I Only a qualied electrician is allowed to work on the electrical equipment of the power genera-
tor in accordance with the electrotechnical rules!
1.2. Special types of hazard
1.2.1. Electrical energy
H Check the functional capability of the safety equipment before each start-up!
H Use only certied and approved cables for the mains system!
H Immediately turn o the power generator in the event of faults in its electrical supply!
H Only a qualied electrician is allowed to work on electrical systems and equipment in accordan-
ce with the electrotechnical rules!
H Check the electrical equipment of the power generator regularly. Immediately repair any de-
fects such as loose connections or damaged cables or plant components!
H Use only genuine fuses with the specied current!
H De-energize machine components undergoing inspection, maintenance and repair work. Make
sure the disconnected areas are de-energized!
H Block o the work area!
H Use only voltage-insulated tools!
1.2.2. Gas, dust, steam, smoke
I Welding, burning, and grinding on the power generator is only permitted when this work is
expressly approved by Metallwarenfabrik Gemmingen. There is a risk of re and explosion!
I Before starting any welding, burning, and grinding, clear o any dust and combustible materi-
als from the power generator and its surroundings! Ensure adequate ventilation (risk of explosi-
on)!
I Comply with any existing local rules when working in tight spaces!
I Use the specied personal protective equipment!
