7.2. Warehousing
Warehousing is dened as the storage of the power generator in a not-operatonal state without
time limit. For this purpose, preservation work and checks at regular intervals are required. Storage in
weather-protected conditions is described below. For warehousing under dierent conditions, please
contact our service representatives.
• Perform described all necessary maintenance and cleaning operations as described in the
<Maintenance> chapter.
• Empty the fuel tank completely.
• Perform an oil change.
• Remove the spark plug.
• Pour 10 cm³ of engine oil through the opening into the cylinder.
• Use the hand starter to slowly cycle the engine several times.
• Screw the spark plug back in.
• Close the suction inlet of the air lter and the exhaust outlet and make them air-tight.
• Preserve all surfaces with preserving agents.
• Protect the power generator from dust and moisture.
• Observe the maximum storage temperature in accordance with the rating plate.
• Protect the power generator from access by unauthorised persons and children.
• When removing from storage, observe the notes on initial commissioning and the daily checks
before commissioning.
