9.2. Engine troubleshooting
If the faults listed below have been dealt with but the fault persists, please contact the experienced
service experts from your authorised dealer.
Malfunction Possible cause Remedy
Engine does not start or start
well
Lower start limit temperature not
met
Actuate the choke
Incorrect type of engine oil Fill engine oil as specied in the oper-
ating manual
Fuel quality is insucient Fill fuel as specied in the operating

Cable connections loose or cor-

Check, clean and tighten the cable
connections
Starter defective Check it and replace it as necessary
Incorrect valve clearance Check and, if need be, adjust
Engine starts but runs unevenly
