6. MAINTENANCE OF THE POWER GENERATOR
The periods between maintenance work may vary from case to case depending on the importance
of the system as well as environmental and usage conditions. As a general rule, an initial inspection
is recommended after about 100 operating hours, but after one year at the latest. After this, it should
also be done whenever maintenance is performed on the drive motor. During maintenance work,
checks are made that:
• Generator runs without any abnormal noise or vibrations which may lead to bearing damage
• Operating data are correct
• Air inlet is not blocked
• Cables show no signs of wear
• Electrical connections are securely fastened
• Nuts and bolts are all properly tightened.
6.1. Maintenance of the drive motor
For maintenance on the drive engine, follow the maintenance plan in the operating manual of the
engine or have your authorised dealer carry out the necessary work.
