I CAUTION
HOT ENgINE pArTS Or HOT OpErATINg MATErIAlS
Danger of burning or danger of scalding body parts
• Allow the engine to cool o.
• Use protective gloves!
Cool the site of the injury
Provide rst aid in accordance with guidelines and/or notify rst responders.
• Operate the power generator outdoors on a at, stable surface.
• Protect the power generator from environmental inuences such as dust and moisture.
• Maintain a minimum lateral clearance of 1m to building walls, container walls, etc. This is re-
quired:
- To operate the engine
- To ensure a sucient combustion air and cooling air supply to the power generator
- To allow dissipation of the heat generated by operation of the power generator
5.3. Prerequisites for trouble-free operation
5.3.1. Fuel specication
The fuel must meet the following requirements:
• Be clean, fresh, unleaded petrol.
• Octane number at least RON 91
• Ethanol content maximum 10% (E10)
Use unleaded petrol with a maximum of 10 volume percent ethanol (E 10) or 5 percent methanol by
volume. Methanol must contain co-solvents and corrosion inhibitors. Using fuels with a higher ethanol
or methanol content than is specied above can result in starting and/or performance problems. It can
also cause damage to metal, rubber, and plastic parts of the fuel system. The manufacturer's warranty
will become invalid if fuel with higher ethanol or methanol proportions is used than is specied above
or if substandard quality fuel is used.
5.3.2. Lubricant specication
NOTE
Avoid mixing oils from dierent brands. Compatibility problems could arise. Increased wear or engine dam-
age may occur. Use oil of the same type from the same manufacturer.
The intervals between two oil changes depend on the fuel quality. For this reason, use only the recommend-
ed fuels.
For optimal performance, we recommend oils with Briggs & Stratton warranty certicate. Other
high-quality HD oils with the classication "for service SF, SG, SH, SJ" or higher are permissible. Do not
