Replacing the drive unit
CAUTION
Risk of burns
There is the risk of burns if contact is made with electrical
components that have become overheated!
► All work must be carried out only by trained personnel and when
no power is applied!
If it is necessary to replace a drive unit gearbox, the complete motor unit
must be dismantled from the reciprocator base. Therefore, the
reciprocator has to be free of load and disconnected from mains.
CAUTION

► For safety reasons, two people should always carry out the
following maintenance work!
Procedure:
1. Switch off the power supply.
2. Release the motor brake manually, let the Z carriage move down
onto the lower stop
Caution - damage to the components!
► Do not let the carriage fall without support.
3. Remove all cover plates from the reciprocator
4. Remove lateral covers
5. Remove the locking plates (A) and loosen the tensioning screws (B),
so that the toothed belt is slack
