1.1 GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
Conditions of use :
It is IMPERITIVE that before any person begins to work with this machine or provides
for its maintenance ( commissioning, maintenance, dismantling...), thoroughly reads and
respects the entirety of the instructions contained within this manual, as well as those concerning
the controls sections ( electric and pneumatic schemas).
Those individuals that will be responsible for the maintenance of this machine are to
be properly trained and qualified to do so
GIRBAU machines have been conceived while keeping in mind the aim of limiting potential
risks to personnel, given the current technologies available. It is therefore absolutely forbidden
to attempt any maneuver or intervention whatsoever that has not been intended for in the
normal usage of the machine and notably to attempt to reach into the machine without
previously ensuring that it has been completely stopped ( see Chapter 3 Safety) or to modify
a cycle or one of its protective coverings.
The machines must be powered by an electrical supply that meets all current norms
and maintained in good condition following maintenance instructions.
Note : The machine’s identification plate is located on the lower left side in the back of the
machine.
1.2 GENERALITIES
This machine has been especially created for the folding of dry bath towels.
Any other utilization is strictly forbidden and is not considered to be in any case as ‘normal
usage’ of the machine.
However, dry and ironed articles can be passed through the machine.
The machine is delivered with the feet attached, though they are adjustable. One of the
sides of the machine can be placed against a wall so as to save space.
Plan a space behind and above the machine to open completely the back cover.
The covers that are equipped with safety latches must be put back in place before operat-
ing the machine.
The first and second longitudinal folds are made by jets of air. The cross folds are made by
the means of an inversion conveyor belt combined with a jet of air. All of the folds can be
set and modiffied with the aid of the touch screen.
All of the towels can be stacked. The number of articles per stack can be set between 1 to
20. The maximum height of the stack is 250 mm.
The stacks can be discharged on the sides of the machine onto a discharge conveyor.
The moveable guards that are equipped with safety sensors will provoke the immediate
stoppage of the machine once they are opened and will prevent the restarting of the machine
until they are closed and or put back into place (folding table protection grill, cross access
door).
