Refitting the valves
- Place the valve spring support washers on the
head.
- Alternately insert the 4 oil guards using the spe-
cial tool.
- Lubricate the oil guards and the valve guides.

- Fit the valves, the springs and the caps. Using
the appropriate tool with adapter, compress the
springs and insert the cotters in their seats.

N.B.
DO NOT CHANGE THE VALVE FITTING POSITION. FIT THE VALVE SPRINGS WITH THE REF-
ERENCE COLOUR ON COTTER SIDE (TURNS WITH GREATER PITCH).
Inspecting the cam shaft
- Check that the camshaft bearings exhibit no scores or abnormal wear.
- Using a micrometer, measure the camshaft bearings.
