Air filter
- Raise the saddle.
- Remove the piston ring and the battery cover.
- Loosen the 4 mounting screws shown in the fig-
ure.
- Loosen the mounting screw located under the intake manifold.
- Replace the air filter and reassemble the various
components, reversing the removal procedure.
- An inspection and possible cleaning (with com-
pressed air) of the air filter is scheduled every 6000
km in any case.
- The air jet must be directed from the inside to the
outside of the filter (i.e. opposite the direction of
the air flow during normal operation of the engine).
- Any deposits of condensate out of the engine oil
caused by blow-by can be removed via the pipe
shown in the figure.
