The direction buttons can be used to turn the caravan:

When driving (forwards / in reverse), the driving direc-
tion can be adjusted by pressing the direction buttons
at the same time:

If the opposite direction buttons are pressed at the
same time, the caravan rotates on the spot in the direc-
tion in question:
