Unpack and Check

Verify all parts are present before using the treestand; contact manufacturer if any are missing.

Parts

Installation

Silence the Product

Eliminate initial settling or creaking sounds by placing the platform on a firm floor and walking on it.

Select a Tree

Choose a healthy, straight tree between 8-22 inches in diameter, avoiding dead, diseased, or leaning trees.

Attach Platform Section to Tree

Prepare the platform section by unfolding arms and separating from seat section, ensuring tether alignment.

Attach Seat Section to Tree

Install the seat section similarly to the platform, about 12-18 inches above it, using cable assemblies and D-rings.

Adjust Tether Connecting Seat Section to Platform Section

Adjust tether length at ground level so climbing bar is at mid-thigh height above the platform for control.

Adjust Angle of Platform and Seat Sections

Ensure platform and seat sections are level at hunting height; adjust angle at ground level by tightening/loosening tree cables.

Usage

Use Full Body Harness

Always wear and use a TMA-certified Full Body Harness; stay connected to the tree at all times after leaving the ground.

Double Check

Ensure D-ring snap pins are secure and locked, check harness attachment to tree, and verify tether connection between sections.

Practice and Test

Familiarize yourself with treestand operation by practicing installation, detaching, and usage at ground level in various conditions.

Ascend (Climb Up) the Tree

Follow safety precautions, attach harness and feet, and climb the tree in stages, adjusting as needed.

Descend (Climb Down) the Tree

Reverse the ascend (climb up) instructions in step 10 to safely climb down the tree.

Detach and Backpack

Follow steps to detach the treestand from the tree and prepare it for carrying.

Maintenance and Storage

Maintenance

Inspect and replace worn parts like tree cables and seat cushions every three years or sooner if damaged. Use only Gorilla parts.

Store the treestand in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight, dust, excessive heat, and chemicals.

Trouble Shoot
