Why is my Graco 600 sputtering?

Fluttering or spitting spray from your Graco Paint Sprayer can occur due to several reasons: an insufficient fluid supply (adjust the fluid regulator or refill the fluid supply); a loose or damaged fluid nozzle (tighten or replace it); dirt between components (clean the parts); a loose fitting (tighten or replace it); a loose fluid tube (tighten it); dry or worn fluid needle packing (lubricate or replace the packings and tighten the packing nut); fluid build-up on the air cap or a clogged horn (clean with a soft implement or solvent and wipe clean, or replace the damaged part); fluid build-up on the nozzle orifice (remove the obstruction); incorrect air pressure or fluid viscosity (adjust air pressure, regulate fluid viscosity, or adjust fluid pressure).
