Removing
Compound Rest
The compound rest and tool post must be removed
before milling/drilling so the cross slide table can
be used as the milling table.
Re-installing Compound Rest
Align compound rest with swivel base mounting
holes and nut (see Figure 103), then secure with
cap screws previously removed.
Note: While re-installing compound rest, use a
3mm hex wrench to press swivel base up from
underneath and keep it from sliding back down
into cross slide.

Removing Compound Rest
Remove the two cap screws that secure com-
pound rest (see Figure 102), then remove it.
