4. Make sure the main switch cannot be switched on accidentally.
Decommissioning for more than 24 hours
5. Stop the system.
6. Switch off the main switch.
7. Make sure the main switch cannot be switched on accidentally.
8. Put on the stipulated personal protective equipment. Observe
the chemical manufacturer's safety data sheets (SDS) and
safety instructions of the used chemicals.
9. If using dry material, perform the following steps:
a. Empty the dry-material feeder completely.
b. Clean the dissolving hopper. See 9.5 Checking and cleaning
the dissolving hopper.
c. Clean the dry-material feeder. See 9.6 Checking and
cleaning the dry-material feeder.
10. If using liquid concentrate, perform the following steps:
a. Empty the inlet and outlet lines of the liquid-concentrate
pump.
b. Flush the lines and the pump head with a suitable cleaning
solution (observe the safety data sheet of the liquid
concentrate).
The liquid concentrate must not come into contact
with water, otherwise the pump head and lines can
clog.
11. Empty the three-chamber tank via drain connection (G) using
ball valves (E1), (E2) and (E3). See 4.3 Overview and
description of components and connections.
12. Flush the three-chamber tank with a suitable cleaning solution.
13. Carefully flush the line to the withdrawal pump.
