12. Fault finding via alarm messages
WARNING
Chemical hazard
Death or serious personal injury
‐ Wear personal protective equipment.
‐ Observe the chemical manufacturer's safety data sheets (SDS) and safety instructions of the used chemicals.
WARNING
Electric shock
Death or serious personal injury
‐ The fault finding on electrical components must only be done by authorised and qualified electricians.
‐ Switch off the power supply before you start any work on the product. Make sure that the power supply cannot be switched on
accidentally.
Alarm message Cause Remedy
Power failure
• The power supply was
interrupted, for example due
to a power breakdown.
• Reestablish the power supply.
CAUTION
Automatic startup
Minor or moderate personal injury
‐ In case of power failure, switch off the main switch
before starting any work on the system.
Fault motor stirrer 1
Fault motor stirrer 2
Fault motor stirrer 3
Fault motor dry-material feeder
Fault vibrator
Fault motor liquid-concentrate
pump
• The motor protection switch
has tripped.
• Check motor for overload (mechanical problem).
• Check wiring for short circuit damages.
• Check the nominal current at the motor protector.
Fault level sensor tank
• The level sensor on the tank
provides no signal or an
incorrect signal.
• Check the sensor and the wiring.
Fault tank overflow (LSAH)
• The storage chamber is
overflowing.
• Check the settings for LSH and LSAH in menu Tank. The two
values must not be too close to each other.
• Check the level sensor.
Fault tank dry run (LSAL)
• The storage chamber is
empty.
• Check the settings for LSL and LSAL in menu Tank. The two
values must not be too close to each other.
• Make sure that the amount of withdrawn solution does not
exceed the preparation capacity.
• Check the level sensor.
Fault water flow sensor
• The water flow sensor
provides no signal or an
incorrect signal.
• Check the sensor and the wiring.
Water flow too low (FSAL)
• The incoming water flow rate
is too low.
• Check the water supply.
Water flow too high (FSAH)
• The incoming water flow rate
is too high.
• Check shut-off valve and adjustment of pressure reducing valve
Dry-material feeder empty
(LSAL)
• The level sensor in the
storage hopper indicates a
lack of dry material.
• Refill dry material.
• Check the level sensor.
Flow of liquid concentrate very
low (FSAL)
• Lack of liquid concentrate,
flow rate too low.
• Refill liquid concentrate.
• Check the flow sensor.
• Check the foot valve.
