We recommend that you use this option for pumps that
are not in permanent operation and can be interrupted by
a relay of the controller of the appliance.

Relay
At startup the relay is open. In this mode the PTC resistor
is able to limit the inrush current down to a level of
approximately 4 A.
During operation the relay is closed. In this mode the
resistor is by-passed so that efficient operation is
guaranteed.
The inrush current is measured on a flicker network
according to IEC 61000-3-3:1994 + A1, + A2, Annex B.
