What does it mean when the screen flashes during calibration of Hach H160G?
- TTammy JonesAug 21, 2025
A flashing screen during calibration of your Hach Measuring Instruments can be due to several reasons. The probe sensor surfaces may be dirty or need reconditioning, so clean and condition the probe again. Another cause could be no flow in the reference junction, so clean the warm buffer. Also, the buffers might be contaminated or expired, so recalibrate with new buffers. Interference from other devices or direct sunlight can also cause this issue, so remove all devices from the solution and protect the probe from sunlight. Finally, a low battery can cause the screen to flash, so replace the batteries if the battery icon indicates low power or the probe is too old and needs replacement.
