Warning – Danger to persons!
All faults should be checked and repaired immediately.
The valves concerned should be switched off immediately and secured against
accidental switching on.
The necessary work should only be carried out by qualified personnel keeping strictly to
the safety instructions.
These are to be found in the "Safety" chapter.
This document applies to the double-seat valve and describes possible faults, their cause
and measures to remove them.
Fault – Function Possible cause Measures
The double-seat valve does
not open.
• External compressed air supply is
insufficient.
• The internal compressed air supply
between the solenoid valve and
the pneumatic drive has been
interrupted.
• Defective solenoid valve.
• The electrical control has been
disturbed.
• Make sure that at least 5 bar
compressed air is available at the
valve.
• Check the compressed air hose.
• Change the solenoid valve.
• Check the wiring and control head.
The double-seat valve does
not close.
• The solenoid valves are defective
or the electrical control has been
disturbed or is not active.
• A solid body is lodged between the
sealing areas.
• The actuator spring is blocked or
broken.
• Check the solenoid valves and the
control.
• Clean the valve housing and the
seat.
• Change the drive.
The defective drive should be
repaired by the manufacturer.
The flushing of the leakage
chamber or the flush
chambers is insufficient.
• The volume or pressure of the
flushing liquid is insufficient.
• The supply valve does not open.
• The pre-installed cycle times are
insufficient.
• Carry out a corresponding
inspection and if necessary change
the settings.
