The oven
The cooking compartment light and exter-
nal cooling fan are switched on automat-
ically.
Dials/Heating methods
0 OFF setting
The oven is switched off.
Cooking compartment light
Only the cooking compartment is lit.
Heating and fans remain switched off.
Defrost
Air is only circulated around the cook-
ing compartment to accelerate defrost-
ing.
Bottom heat
Heat is only generated below. The fan
is switched off. This setting is suited for
achieving dark and crispy bases.
Top and bottom heat
Conventional heating without fan Heat
is generated both below and above.
Convection with top and bottom heat
Heat is generated both below and
above. The fan evenly distributes heat.
Well suited for baking and for preparing
braised food such as chicken, cutlets
or fish, as well as for baked dishes and
sauces.
Hot air with bottom heat
Heat is generated below as well as by
a ring-shaped heater on the back wall
of the cooking compartment. The fan
evenly distributes heat. Ideal for baking
pizza, quiches and other baked goods
with a crispy bottom. Frozen foods do
not require preheating.
Grill with fan
Ideal for grilling meat, poultry, fish and
juicy vegetables, such as tomatoes,
courgettes, aubergines, onions, etc.

Oven rack guides with telescopic
oven rails
The side walls of the cooking compartment
are equipped with oven rack guides with tel-
escopic oven rails (27). These make it easier
to remove baking trays from the oven, for ex-
ample, to baste roasts.
If you want to move the telescopic rails to
another position, you can remove them as
follows:

1. Pull the lower edge of the telescopic rail
away from the oven rack guide first.
2. Then remove the telescopic rails com-
pletely from the oven rack guides.
3. Clamp the telescopic rails back on the
oven guide rails in the position you’d like
to have them.
