Installing optional cards
What you need to know before starting and steps to take to install an optional card in the ProStream X.
Currently there are two optional cards available for ProStream X.

PRM-X-DUAL-10GBE 2-port 10 GbE optical NIC with SFP+.
PRM-X-OCTO-ASI 8-port ASI, bidirectional.
NOTE: The ASI cards require a specific ASI panel bracket.

Chassis warnings for rack mounting and servicing
Follow these guidelines whenever rack mounting or servicing a ProStream device.
CAUTION:
To prevent bodily injury when mounting or servicing this unit in a rack, you must take
special precautions to ensure that the system remains stable. The following guidelines are
provided to ensure your safety.
• This unit should be mounted at the bottom of the rack if it is the only unit in the rack.
• If the rack will hold a number of units, load the rack from the bottom to the top with the
heaviest component at the bottom of the rack.
• If the rack is provided with stabilizing devices, install the stabilizers before mounting or
servicing the unit in the rack.
