TROUBLESHOOTING
6.2 TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES
6.2.1 General
Troubleshooting begins with performing the maintenance turn-on procedure. The maintenance turn-on procedure
references the non-BIT and BIT troubleshooting procedures.
6.2.2 Maintenance Turn-On Procedure
The maintenance turn-on procedure is used to guide the maintainer through the proper RF-5800H-MP front panel
settings to power up the RF-5800H 150-Watt Communication System from a de-energized state to a fully
operational state. In each step the maintainer is to observe the RF-5800H 150-Watt Communication System for
normal operating conditions. Faults may be determined by using BIT or visual observation. BIT faults for all units
are displayed on the RF-5800H-MP Keypad Display Unit (KDU).
