7.2.3 HANDLE VALVE DEVICES WITH EXTRA CARE!
Valves have delicate internal parts and are subject to high
voltages and high temperatures. IT IS DANGEROUS TO TOUCH
OR TAMPER WITH VALVES ( TUBES ) DURING THEIR
OPERATION OR FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AFTER OPERATION
Valves do not last indefinitely and will eventually burn out with use
or disintegrate from rough handling. Handle with Care!
Turn off valve with Blend Control or Valve Switch when not required
Do not subject EDB-2 VAP or other Headway products to dust or
liquids
7.2.4 VALVE SPARES, MAINTENANCE & MODIFICATIONS
You may find it worthwhile to carry a spare 12AX7 low noise valve,
padded and protected and a spare Headway VAP/PSU to cover any
potential loss or breakage
EDB-2 VAP’s 12AX7 Valve can be changed with care, using EDB-2
VAP’s easy access cover. Changing the valve for another 12AX7 or
checking batteries for leakage and changing them, are the only
User Maintenance task allowed under the Guarantee. See Electrical
Specifications/ Maintenance
Custom Valves: Headway may be able to offer non standard 12AX7
valves with particular characteristics on tone, overdrive, output &
noise. All carry an additional cost and are subject to availability.
THIS IS THE ONLY MODIFICATION ALLOWED WHILE
RETAINING THE 12 MONTHS GUARANTEE / WARRANTY
