CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL AND ADDING
Note:I
Check the oil level only when the engine is off and cool. The machine must stand level.
1. Remove the oil filler cap / dipstick (fig. 9A) and dry it thoroughly.
2. Pull the plug of the oil filler cap/dipstick fully into the oil filler neck, but screw it. Then
remove it. After pulling out, read the oil level dipstick.
3. If the oil level is near or below the lower limit mark dipstick, remove the oil filler cap / dipstick
and add oil to the engine between the upper and lower mark (fig. 9). Don‘t overfill.
4. Refit the oil filler cap/dipstick.
Change the oils according to the paragraph of MAINTENANCE / OIL CHANGE.
CAUTION!A
Improper filling or not enough oil can lead to unrepairable damage to the engine.
ENGINE PRE-OPERATION CHECK
For your safety, and to maximize the service life of your equipment, it is very important to
take a few moments to check the engine condition before operating.
ALWAYS CHECK THE FOLLOWING ITEMS BEFORE YOU START THE ENGINE:
- Fuel level
- Oil level
- Air cleaner (if equipped)
- Total control: Make sure there are no leaks, find loose or damaged parts.
- Check the equipment powered engine.
CAUTION!A
Be sure to take care of any problem you find, or have authorized service dealer to
correct it, before you operate the engine. Improper maintenance to this engine, or
failure to correct a problem before operation, can cause malfunction in which you
can be seriously hurt or killed.
HIGHER ALTITUDES
The engines operating at high altitudes (above 1600 meters above sea level) require the special
attention, because decrease of the fuel mixture saturation ratio to supersaturation. This
leads to the power loss and higher fuel consumption. For more information, contact an
authorized service center.
GEAR OIL
CAUTION!A
The product is supplied without gearbox oil. Make sure it is filled with gearbox
oil before using for the first time. Operating the gearbox with insufficient oil will
damage the gearbox. Contaminated gearbox oil will reduce the service life of
the gearbox. Use the specified gearbox oil.
