CAUTION!A
Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return it gently to
prevent damage to the starter.
Rapid retraction of starter cord (kickback) will pull hand and arm toward engine
faster than you can let go. Broken bones, fractures, bruises or sprains could result.
4. Return the starter handle slowly to the rope guide bolt after engine starts.
5. When the engine starts, get throttle lever slowly to position c“. Before each movement of the lever
wait till the engine speed gets stable. Operate the engine with throttle lever in the „c“ position.
6. Position “SLOW” (d use only for idling.
Do not tilt the lawn mower when starting the engine. Start the mower on a level surface,
free of high grass or obstacles.
TO STOP ENGINE
CAUTION!A
Risk of injury! Always switch off the product when not in use for short periods.
1. Set the throttle lever to „e STOP“ position.
2. Disconnect and ground the spark plug wire to prevent the mower from accidentally starting
if it’s left unattended for a long period of time.
WARNING!B
Cutter bar blades are extremely sharp. To help avoid serious injury: Keep the plastic
guard on the cutter bar assembly when the unit is not running. Wear heavy
leather gloves when handling the cutter bar. Do not place fingers between blades.
Amputation could result.
SWITCH ON THE CUTTER
1. The cutter may not move if the clutch lever (fig. 15A) is released.
2. The clutch lever can be actuated only after the safety lock (fig. 15B) is activated.
3. Upon activation, the cutter must start running and stop upon release.
4. Actuate the clutch lever (fig. 15A) for cutter slowly up to the limit stop.
5. Hold the clutch lever firmly during operation.
CAUTION!A
Do not touch the moving blades. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts.
DRIVE CONTROL
1. Grip the Self-drive control handle (fig. 16A), the lawn mower will move forward automatically.
2. Release the Self-drive control handle until the lawn mower doesn’t go forward.
