SETTING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE MOWING BAR
MOWING BAR SETTINGS
The mowing bar must always be set correctly. Incorrect setting can cause release of
the guide or damage to the mower.
CAUTION!A
Use gloves when adjusting or handling the blades. Don‘t touch the edge of the blades!
1. On the clearance adjusting feet (fig. 17A), loosen the nuts of Allen screws with the hexagon key.
2. Adjust the feet pressure on the blade (fig. 18) using the Allen screws and fasten it in its new
position by tightening the nuts against turning.
3. If necessary, similarly set the clearance for the sliding block (fig. 19A) and guide grooves.
CAUTION!A
On a new machine, check the mowing bar adjustment after the first hour of operation!
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
CAUTION!A
Risk of injury! Make sure that the blade guard is mounted on the mower.
C Don‘t set the cutting height too low. The gliders must touch the ground. The mower
bar may catch the ground. This causes the machine to stop suddenly.
1. Loosen the screws on the glider (fig. 20A).
2. Rotate the glider in the oval hole to set the desired mowing height.
3. Tighten the glider bolts.
MOWING BAR MAINTENANCE
• Always lubricate the mower’s moving parts with dark oil after one to two hours of operation.
• Keep the mowing bar sharp and replace it with the same one in the event of any damage
– with an original spare part.
• Often check if all screws and nuts are properly tightened, especially bolts, pressure nuts and
the bar attachment.
