MACHINE MAINTENANCE
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
• To reduce the fire hazard, keep the engine, silencer and petrol storage area free of dirt or
excessive oil.
• Check regularly the functionality of the sweeper, collection container and snow shield. For
safety reasons, replace any worn-out and damaged component.
LUBRICATION
CAUTION: disconnect spark plug before servicing!
All rotating parts should be lubricated at least after every 25 hours or once a season of operation
lubricate by light machine oil.
IMPORTANT: Avoid oil spillage on rubber friction wheel and aluminum drive plate.
WHEELS
At least once a season, remove both wheels. Clean and coat the axles with a multipurpose
automotive waterproof grease before reinstalling wheels.
CHUTE DIRECTIONAL CONTROL
Once a season, the joystick should be lubricated with a multipurpose automotive waterproof
grease.
AUGER SHAFT
At least once a season, remove the shear pins (fig. 31A) on auger shaft. Spray lubricant inside
shaft, around the spacers. Also lubricate the flange bearings found at either end of the shaft.
GEAR CASE
The auger gear case has been filled with grease and sealed at the factory. Adding or replacement
lubricants refer to authorized service.
CLEANING
CAUTION: Do not hose engine. Water can damage engine or contaminate the fuel
system.
• After each operation clean the machine carefully.
• The machine should be parked at solid even surface.
• Remove settled sediments.
• The chute clean always immediately after finishing work. Then let machine get dry well. Then
wipe off the whole machine and remove all dirts.
• The sweeper, especially the sweeping brush, must be cleaned after each use.
• Wipe machine surface and engine cover with dry cloth.
