Configuring the Receiver
The following subsections provide detailed instructions to configure
important operating parameters of the MBX-4.
Change Baud Rate
To modify the baud rate of the MBX-4 data port (Refer to Figure 3-4):
• Navigate to Options in the Setup menu and press .
• Observe the current Baud Rt setting. If incorrect, press .
• Scroll with the or keys to the correct baud rate {2400, 4800,
or 9600} and press .
Change Frequency and MSK Rate
To modify the frequency and MSK rate to which the receiver is
manually tuned (Refer to Figure 3-4):
• Navigate to Tune in the Setup menu and press .
• Scroll with the or keys until the desired Frequency and MSK
Rate are displayed and press {283.5/100 to Auto/Auto}.
Select a Beacon By Name
To tune to a specific beacon by name (Refer to Figure 3-4):
• Navigate to the Select Beacon in the Setup menu and press .
