  Unexpected patient or control results from the HemoCue Docking Station may be due to: 1. Improper sampling technique. 2. Expired, faulty, or improperly stored cuvettes. Check the expiration date and storage conditions. 3. Contamination on the cuvette's optical eye. Use a new cuvette for measurement. 4. Air bubbles in the cuvette. Remeasure with a new cuvette. 5. Dirty optical parts. Clean the optical parts. 6. Incompletely filled cuvette. Use a new cuvette for measurement. 7. Delay in starting the measurement after filling the cuvette. Use a new cuvette and repeat the measurement. 8. The control has not been properly mixed and/or has not reached room temperature. To resolve this, save test results by placing the Analyzer in a Docking Station connected to DMS Software or OR. With supervisory authority, you can also delete stored Patient Tests or change Analyzer settings to 'Overwrite' when the memory is full.
