Fitting
a
Rotor (see Changing
a
Rotor)
Load Centrifuge
Only rotor and accessory combinations approved by the manufacturer
for this centrifuge may
be
used (see "Rotors and Accessories"
at
the
end
of
these operating instructions)!
During centrifugation all rotor compartments must be filled. Mixed rotor
changing
is
permissible,
if
opposite compartments are filled with iden-
tical suspended trays.
•
Free-swinging suspended trays must
be
attached
to
rotor journals such that they are
easily swung (carry out swing test).
•
Insert centrifugation vessels
-
which have been evenly filled using best visual judge-
ment
-
at
opposite locations into the rotor to avoid any imbalance.
•
Close cover
and
push safety clamp forward. This safety clamp must audibly snap
home
at
the two collar screws in the top of the casing. Control lamp will illuminate
for
three seconds.
Centrifuge can only be started when cover is closed.
Operating Centrifuge for Preselected Time Periods
•
Set timer to centrifuging time required.
For short centrifuging times, first set timer to
a
longer centrifuging time
to
wind
up the clock. Then set to actuaj centrifuging time required.
•
Press start key, rotation indicator illuminates.
•
Using speed selector and speed display,
set
maximum speed required (The figures
shown on this speed selector are for guidance only).
