Measuring Earth Resistance Simply
(Simplied Measurement, 2-Pole Measurement Method)
Earth voltage check
Set the range selector to ~V to check
an earth voltage. Do not press the
MEASURE button at this time.
Auxiliary earth resistance check
Auxiliary earth resistance check is not required.
When the range selector is set to H or S, and the MEASURE button is
pressed, the needle of the galvanometer may move or go off-scale high;
however, this is not a defect. The check operation is invalid.
Earth resistance measurement
Select the suitable range between ×10
Ω
or ×100
Ω
and have the needle of
the galvanometer points to the center
of the mark ▼ by turning the dial knob
while pressing the MEASURE button.
