What does Err 0ADJ mean on my Hioki IR4055 Test Equipment?
    • E
      eric23Sep 23, 2025
If your Hioki Test Equipment displays 'Err 0?ADJ' indicating that zero adjustment is outside the allowable range during low resistance measurement, verify that there is no broken connection in the test leads. Zero adjustment can be performed for readings of up to 3 ?. Ensure that the wiring resistance is 3 ? or less.

What to do if the live circuit indicator blinks red and the buzzer sounds during insulation resistance measurement with Hioki IR4055?
    • L
      Laura PooleAug 25, 2025
If, during insulation resistance, low resistance, or PV? measurement, the voltage applied between the measurement terminals exceeds approximately 20 V for insulation resistance and PV?, or approximately 5 V for low resistance, make sure that the measurement target is disconnected from a live circuit. If voltage exists in the measurement target, the live circuit indicator will blink.

Why does the MEASURE key enable the lock function after being released in my Hioki Test Equipment?
    • R
      Ronald ZamoraAug 26, 2025
If, in the 500 V range, 1000 V range or PV? range, turning on the MEASURE key enables the lock function that has been released, replace the batteries with new alkaline batteries if the current batteries do not have sufficient charge or are not alkaline batteries. Also, release the lock function again if 1 minute has lapsed after the last operation.

Why is there excessive variation in measured value on my Hioki Test Equipment?
    • A
      Ana VelasquezAug 27, 2025
If there is excessive variation in the measured value, disconnect the circuit breaker for any nearby charging circuits if a charging circuit is located near the measurement object. If this is not possible, use the lowest measured value as the measurement result. Also, if the measurement object has a large capacitance component (capacitor), remove the capacitor if possible. If not, use the lowest measured value as the measurement result.

What does Err5 01 mean on my Hioki IR4055 Test Equipment?
    • J
      Jonathan LeeSep 23, 2025
If your Hioki Test Equipment displays 'Err5 01' indicating an abnormality in the measurement circuit, replace the batteries. If there is no apparent improvement, the instrument needs repair.

Why do measured values fluctuate over time on Hioki IR4055 during insulation resistance measurement?
    • M
      Martin RodriguezSep 13, 2025
When measured values acquired through insulation resistance measurement or PV measurement fluctuate over time on your Hioki Test Equipment, if it is possible to remove the capacitor, do so. If not, use the lowest measured value as the measurement result. Alternatively, select measured values acquired one minute after the start of the measurement, or after they have stabilized if a large capacitance component is included.

Why does the MEASURE key enable the lock function after releasing it in Hioki IR4055?
    • C
      Cheryl RiceSep 12, 2025
If, in the 500 V, 1000 V, or PV range, turning on the MEASURE key enables the lock function that has been released on your Hioki Test Equipment, replace the batteries with new alkaline batteries and release the lock function again.

How to stabilize measured values on Hioki Test Equipment?
    • T
      Tyler WilsonSep 12, 2025
If the measured values from your Hioki Test Equipment vary and fail to stabilize, disconnect the circuit breaker for any nearby charging circuits. If this is not possible, use the lowest measured value as the measurement result.

What to do if I am unable to perform measurement on my Hioki IR4055 Test Equipment?
    • M
      Marissa PowellSep 4, 2025
If you are unable to perform a measurement with your Hioki Test Equipment, first turn off the MEASURE key and then press it again. Also, ensure that the measuring object is separated from all power sources before you attempt to measure it.

Why is the MEASURE key not working with the lead switch on my Hioki IR4055?
    • B
      Benjamin StokesSep 2, 2025
If the MEASURE key is not working for the lead with a switch, fully insert the plug to the limit without any gaps if the plug of the lead with a switch is not fully inserted.
