(2) Fill the supplied quartz fluorescence cell with distilled water and set it in the cell holder in the
sample compartment.
(3) After the above setting, click OK button.
(4) Click
(start measurement) button on the measurement toolbar.
(5) The time scan measurement will start. Now adjust VERTICAL ADJ. and FOCUS on the left side of
the main unit, using the supplied stubby screwdriver, so the values on the graph will become
maximum.
This completes the positional adjustment of the lamp.
NOTES: 1. The lamp position can be adjusted without using distilled water provided the sample emits
fluorescence. In such case, set the optimum EX and EM wavelengths for the sample, set to
emission mode, and then adjust the lamp position.
2. When the Xe lamp has been replaced, be sure to readjust the lamp position.
