Pilot Control Shut-Off Lever
Pilot control shut-off lever (1) functions to prevent
misoperation of the machine if control levers and pedals are
accidentally moved when leaving the operator's seat or when
entering the cab.

WARNING: Always pull pilot control shut-off lever
(1) into the full LOCK position. Unless pilot control
shut-off lever (1) is fully moved to the LOCK position,
the control levers are not locked, possibly creating
a hazardous situation. When leaving the machine,
always stop the engine. Pull pilot control shut-off lever
(1) up to the LOCK position. Always check to be sure
that pilot control shut-off lever (1) is pulled up to the
LOCK position before transporting the machine or
leaving the machine at the end of a shift.
Before Leaving the Machine
1. Park the machine on a firm, level surface. Lower the
bucket to the ground. Return all control levers to neutral.
Properly shut down the engine.
2. Pull pilot control shut-off lever (1) up into the full LOCK
position.
Before Starting Operation:
Confirm that pilot control shut-off lever (1) is pulled up to
the LOCK position before starting the engine. The engine
will not start if the pilot control shut-off lever (1) is in any
other position than LOCK.
Slowly push down pilot control shut-off lever (1) to the
UNLOCK position before starting operation.
Confirm that all control levers and pedals are in neutral and
that no part of the machine is in motion.

WARNING: If any part of the machine (any actuator)
moves when pilot control shut-off lever (1) is lowered
to the UNLOCK position despite when all controls are
in neutral, the machine is malfunctioning. Immediately
pull pilot control shut-off lever (1) back to the LOCK
position, and stop the engine. See your authorized
dealer.
